about

8. Reflected Pearls – This song was a foreshadow to the last songs. I just felt good making the music. It is a very different song for me, but I didn’t feel it was like anything from before. I was literally just searching my mind to see what would come from it. I found myself playing with something new, and so I spoke to it. And although it felt new and different, it felt very much like home. What I realized was that it was the sound of all the guys I played music with, who have influenced and encouraged me to make my own music in my own style. I always feel good when I hear this one.

lyrics

Reflected Pearls

Number 9, Take your time
Because I’m, not complete
Figure out, someone else
Call for help, I don’t seek

All around the world they with answers
Listen to the silence dodge the cancer
Never no one knows what’s beyond the stars when
They do not ever listen to the silence.
Mind the world, let nothing define you
Cannot fear the heights that you climb to
Tear it down and make it for real
Wait the cold out, hold up and chill

Count it down, number one
Life unknown, beneath the sunlight
Shining back, rhyme intact
Set it off, melt in wax to

Poet the guy, the flow inside it makes me
Go inside and hold up high what aches me
Robotic times, no thought inside the world
That’s what makes me think reflected pearls
Cannot see world with just an eye
Multiply the sights and don’t divide
Tripping up the steps a couple times
Makes me feel I’m one beyond the times.

(Hook)
Love that makes me go to places
I know breaks me down to spaces

We’re going home now
We’re on our own now

Count it off, let it float
We’re you can’t, see no more
Misty eyed, cold in fact
It’s the world, unexplored

It’s the Jay created by the dark side
Light it up the dark is just the inside
Feeling all the things that drive me crazy
Keeps me between lines of the road
Mind the world, let nothing define you
Cannot fear the heights that you climb to
Tear it down and make it for real
Wait the cold out, hold up and chill

(Hook)
Love that makes me go to places
I know breaks me down to spaces

We’re going home now
We’re on our own now
